In a short five days you will be introduced to Guadalajara's authentic regional cuisine, try your hand at making Tamales in a participation cooking class, sample Tequila in the region where it was invented, explore the architecture and legend of Guadalajara's historic city center, and discover this premiere colonial city's imagination through its impressive artisans, arts and crafts...still with enough free time to just chill.

  YOUR PACKAGE/ITINERARY INCLUDES:
  • Your tour escort for the entire itinerary, Jude Pauline Artenstein, commencing at your hotel in Guadalajara.
  • All ground transport for our itinerary.
  • Thursday evening, we will all get acquainted over cocktails and a delicious dinner at one of Guadalajara's finest restaurants.
  • Friday mid-morning, we will enjoy a guided tour of the city center, exploring its diverse architecture, colonial plazas, and ancient legend. We will have lunch at one of the city's popular restaurants offering Mexico's burgeoning modern cuisine. Afternoon free.
  • Saturday morning, we drive an hour outside Guadalajara to the Tequila region for a guided tour of a small family owned Tequileria. First hand you will discover how maguey is planted, harvested, processed, distilled and aged into 100% Agave Tequila. Following our tour we will enjoy a Tequila tasting session and scrumptious Carne Asada lunch with Mariachis to serenade us. Afternoon free.
  • Sunday morning, we go 15 minutes outside Guadalajara to suburb of Tlaquepaque, a visual feast of exquisite arts and crafts sold from restored mansions, on pedestrian walk streets. Sunday is a big party day here, full of local color. We leisurely meander through this amazing destination, then relax and enjoy lunch at the town square where traditional dishes are the local specialty. Evening free.
  • Monday morning, we gather for a cooking class. It's all about Tamales. In this participation cooking class, we will become expert in filling both corn husks and banana leaves with savory and sweet fillings. Early lunch on our Tamales and a toast to celebrate our new friendships and the conclusion of our Cuisine, Tequila and Crafts Tour.
  • Monday afternoon, may be a travel home time for some, unless you are continuing your stay in Guadalajara or journey elsewhere in Mexico.

 PAYMENT & CANCELLATION POLICY:
  • Payment of 50% must accompany each reservation.
  • Balance of payment is due 45 days prior to departure date.
  • Cancellation. Reservation payment is refundable, less $200 administrative fee up to 45 days prior to departure date.
  • No refunds can be given for cancellations less than 45 days prior to departure.
  • Cancellation Insurance is recommended, an application for coverage will accompany your reservation receipt.
  • A more detailed itinerary will accompany your balance of payment receipt.
